Hey there , today I’mma rant about how much I want a BJD . I may not know much about BJD .. Especially when I know there’s only about 0.00005% of Malaysia’s population that would know about BJD . BJD is Ball-jointed Dolls for short (I don’t wanna put BJ Dolls, it might get you thinking differently) . Anyway ! I first saw one on Maymay’s blog . She’s a fabulous photographer , distinctive style of her own . I often check her blog once in a while . BJD are just the loveliest type of dolls ever . I used to wish for a Blythe Doll .. But when I looked at a BJD for the first time just made me go ‘WOW!’ .
They’re just so realistic and ranges from 24cm up to 60cm ! I wish there’s someone in Malaysia who makes these dolls .. Or at least import them . Even so , it’s still so costly . I calculated , for a normal doll (without the clothes and wig), it would cost at least MYR 1,200 ! Hell, I can buy a phone with that money or 20 dresses and 10 pairs of shoes.
Skip the talking, let’s feast on the beautiful BJD photography, shall we ?
I love this porcelain white elf doll . Just divine .
This baby’s name is Jelly , by Asleep Eidolon
Just look at those lush lips
Can you imagine what kind of photographs I can take if I own a BJD ? I mean, look at this photograph . It looks uber cool !
Well, they’re not all vintage/fantasy kinda dolls .. You can dress up up modernly too ! LOOK AT THIS . Red head secret agent-like BJD . *hyperventilates*
Mm . My favourite Jap restaurant in PJ . I loved this place ever since I was a little girl . Really :3
It’s so homely, so comfortable . It’s such a neighbourhood Japanese restaurant. I love it .
7 types of mushrooms in a single dish ! How awesome is that?! Sadly for you , it’s one of the daily specials, so wear your lucky undies , maybe you’d be lucky enough to be able to order these lovely mushrooms .
Another of the daily specials. The soup is fabulous . A must try !!! That’s if … You’re lucky . (;
Sanma Shioyaki (RM16.50)
Mummy introduced this fish to us very long ago .. Then prices hiked up . So we stopped having it at home . I’m so glad to be able to have it again ! It’s super duper sweet . It’s so explainable , it’s just different . I promise you, you’d like it very much if you’re a fish person .
Squid squid squid . Hot stuff . Something nice for tea time while you chat away with your friends. (Daily Specials too)
Hokano Roll (RM30)
There’s 101 things inside the Hokano Roll .. … … Just kidding, who am I fooling ? The photo is just up there ..
BUT! It does have prawn tempura , crabstick inside and eel, avocado and tabiko on the outside . That’s almost 101 to me for a Sushi Roll . It’s super duper yummy, do try it out !
Or you could opt for the Spider Roll (RM16.50) , Kano Roll (RM21), Philadelphia Roll (RM12.95) . They’re my top favourites . Even the Spicy Salmon Roll (RM8) , it’s just so fresh, so delicious!
Kano roll has cream cheese and eel inside, whereas philadelphia roll has smoked salmon and cream cheese
Sashimi Moriawase (RM54.90)
Superb . They’re fresh , and just simply delicious . My favourite one is the butter fish . Yummy .
Tenzaru Inaniwa Udon (Cold) (RM17.50)
I normally order the Zaru/Ocha soba cause it’s yummy, filling and cheap . This is the first time I’m trying their Tempura cold udon .. The udon is awesome ! But I still prefer the zaru/ocha style .
I’ve been busy all week with assignments (and as well as gaming too much) , hence the ultra late posts . I’ll promise to update asap ! (:
74, Jalan SS21/35, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, MY.
Ideal place to have dinner before heading over to KL PAC for a show .. A restaurant by a lake .. There’s so much greenery here , I don’t know where to begin ! But do be ready for some mosquito bites . Unavoidable , but at least , I warned . I regret wearing a short dress . :
Vegetarian Crystal Rolls (RM11)
I always loved the Vietnamese rolls. The skin is chewy, the filling for this particular one is just beyond refreshing . Definitely a must have for an appetizer. It goes superb with the sweet and sour Thai chili sauce . Without it, it would be a little bit dry for my liking .
Steamed Mussels in Lemongrass Sauce (RM25)
Yummy fresh mussels , nuff said .
Samira’s Traditional Banana Flower Salad (RM22)
At first, I was a little bit skeptical because I don’t see anything familiar that seems edible . Well, they look like the ingredients you ignore in the assam laksa. So .. I took my first bite . *crunch* It’s.. Gorgeous . Simply crunchy, refreshing . Mix of chopped up banana flower, shrimp and squid (And I think sliced chicken?) , this is a divine salad.
Pan fried Banana with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM12)
Hot banana covered in honey with a scoop on vanilla ice cream on top . What else can one ask for?
Thai Mango with Sticky Rice (Seasonal) (RM16)
The mango is really sweet. But I really dislike how it’s cut .. Too confusing to bother about when the whole dessert taste so good .
Last Thursday on Merdeka eve, I went for the launch party for Page 2 by Plan B. The BIG Group are expanding and expanding !! :O Anyway, Page 2 is an open air bar with gorgeous decor . Diggin’ the stacked up retro TV . Only 4 of the televisions are turned on , showing a grainy screen with P-A-G-E-2 words.
Sadly, because it was so packed, it was like a man made sauna . Literally .
I tried their FROSTY BEER . OMGHYPERVENTILAING . Imagine, in the man made sauna , you, sitting there sandwiched between your friends, sipping super duper COLD beer, with icy foam . Yes, you heard me, ICY FOAM on top !
Mini lamb pies . Oh, oh , did I mention the awesome fact that the menu is on every table ?
After the awesome launch party, I headed down to Posh Club in Sri Hartamas . That sad place . I swear I thought I stepped into a retro club with karaoke set ups. I mean, look behind me , it’s empty ;_;
