Hey guys ! Today’s my last day of class for this semester ! So, Chloe and I went out for a lil’ window shopping at Midvalley . Gosh, I really hate the jams in MV . AND IT’S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND PARKING . Surprisingly, we found a slot within 5 minutes from entering .. Awesome :3
This was taken few days ago at Payless, Paradigm Mall .. My favourite kind of shoe shop ! It’s so much easier weih .. They categorize them by sizes . So you don’t have to roam around the whole shop or wait for the staff to bring out the shoes of your size.

Chloe and I tried on this gorgeous dress from Miss Selfridge . It’s about RM360+ ! It looks uber cool . Chloe says it’s super edgy . Isn’t it just so beautiful ?
Chloe, holding the MOST COMFORTABLE PAIR OF SHOES EVER . FROM FOREVER 21 . I’m gonna go see if they have them in One Utama outlet . I really want to get them . They’re so comfortable cause the insides are super fluffy, super soft ! It’ll be perfect for a day out with loads of walking .

We both preffered the peppermint . So refreshing after a few hours of shopping !
Lovely Carmela De Ponte, the Mexican-Italian chef that runs the kitchen here . She sounded supremely passionate when she talks about authentic Mexican food, and tales from her childhood, how all the neighbours are so close to each other, and as well as how she spent most of her time at the kitchen with everyone else.
La Mexicana “Tuna” Margarita (RM25)
Now this is unique . The “Tuna” here actually meant cactus. Yes, this is a Cactus Margarita. Well, it has a unique taste to it. I would choose this over the normal margarita any day. It has a more balanced flavour to it as the cactus juice gives it a fruity taste, and then comes the alcohol as the after taste. Awesome stuff .
Ceviche “Acapulco” (RM20)
This was one of my favourite bonatas. Don’t judge it’s taste by it’s looks ! It’s citrus-y accompanied by a lovely light creamy after taste. It’s just beautiful. Note: It may taste a little too fishy for some people, but I like how it’s that fishy because it suits the citrus-y sauce.
Chunky pieces of avocado ! I love how they served it in a mortar. It’s like a subliminal message to the customer, saying , ‘Hey, we don’t blend our food, we mash ’em ourselves’
Tacos “Campechanos” (RM22)
3 tacos with handmade corn tortillas, stuffed with “Carnitas” of pork, served with pork Chicharrón (fried pork rinds), cilantro, onion and Molcajete red sauce. Shredded meat, fried pork skin and topped with gorgeous Molcajete red sauce makes the perfect tacos as bonatas for your meal !
“Nopas” Asado Con Queso (RM30)
Capsicum ? Not even close ! It’s a cactus leaf! Grilled cactus leaf served with Panela cheese on top. It’s an acquired taste actually, it really does smell like capsicum. Take a bite, and you’d find it slightly hot (Almost like capsicum, but the hot-ness comes from the Salsa Verde sauce), after a while, you will start to notice it’s slightly slimy .. Yes, slimy ! Almost like brinjal or lady fingers. Odd, isn’t it ? The panela cheese definitely helped me to calm down from the over excited feeling from the cactus ..
Queso Fundido Con Chorizo (RM18)
“Sopes” De Papa Con Chorizo (RM18)
Always served in threes, sopes topped with bits of mashed beans, potato, chorizo (pork sausages) and cheese, served with Salsa Verde sauce.
Camarones “Mojo De Ajo” (RM60)
Sauteed giant shrimps in butter and toasted garlic, flambe with Tequila “Patron” served with white rice with corn and fresh tomato salad.
“Fajitas Nortenas” De Pollo (RM50)
Chicken fajitas with “Chili Poblano”, bacon, onion and accompanied with Salsa Verde sauce and 3 flour tortillas.

Lamb Pita (RM5) & Chicken and mozarella cheese Omelette (RM5)
Gorgeous lamb pita, the bread almost melts in your mouth along with the lamb. As you can see, it’s so easy to tear off (in the photo) anyway. But really, it’s one of the best lamb pita for its value. Ever !
The omelette .. oh gosh, heavenly !!!! Such simple food, yet so satisfying .
Seafood Aglio Olio (RM5)
Spaghetti in olive oil sauce, fresh crunchy prawns, celery and a sprinkle of blackpepper on top. It’s nothing fantastic , honestly .. But for RM5 ? Oh what the heck ! Especially when you’re in Plaza Damansara where nothing is below RM20 for a decent meal !
Creme Brulee (RM5)
It’s a big portion actually .. It’s decent, but I find it a lil’ too hard . Possibly because it’s kept in the fridge for too long .

So you and your partner are deciding, hmm . Where to go for dinner? Let’s try something new, she says. And he says, how about we go to Mezze ! Yes, let’s . It’s a casual place , a lil’ fine dine feeling, but comfortable enough for her to dress down a little. No need of those fancy dresses with 5 karat bling blings . Okay, enough with my story telling wannabee moment, back in reality . My first impression towards Mezze was .. Okay, it’s an Italian restaurant , let’s see what it has to offer . But as I looked through the menu , I saw a few items that are inspired from different cultures. You’ll know what I mean when I tell you about the dishes !
Charcuterie Platter (Small : RM44 ; Large : RM69)
The meat loaves, pate and pickled vegetables are all homemade ! The platter is seasonal, so you might get different items each time you order it .
Artichoke Dip (RM25)
I could live with just the dip alone .. So cheesy and creamy but it’s not enough to make you ‘jelak’ , you know ? It’s extremely salty without the crostini but I just love it . It’s simply divine .
Momofuku Pork Belly Rolls (RM21.90)
The name’s cute, it’s served looking like cute stuffed mantaos as well . A slice of spiced pork belly with pickled cucumber with spring onion sandwiched in steamed flower roll buns and served in a dim sum basket . This restaurant keeps surprising me .. This momo dish is pretty awesome , it’s worth a try, but if you’re not into fusion/Chinese food in a western restaurant, then .. I suggest you skip this . (:
Perfect healthy snack to nibble on ! They’re so addictive, really. . And it keeps you thinking, is it healthy? It’s.. zucchini ! But it’s fried. But it taste so good . So I’m warning ya, it’ll mess with your brain. In a good way . (;
Asian-style Spicy Buffalo Wings (Small : RM26 (1-2pax) ; Big : RM49 (3-4pax))
Chili honey sauce with LOTS of sesame . They’re tasty, perfect finger food while chatting away with your best girlfriends and bros .(:
Mac & Cheese (RM15)
This is what you call a real Mac & Cheese composing of 4 types of different cheese ! Unlike the uber cheapo way where the sauce is boring orange in colour that taste like cream and cream only .
Chargrilled Spatchcock Chicken (RM36)
When it comes to Western food, I seldom, almost never order chicken. It’s probably because I consume chicken on a daily basis .__. But anyway, I’m in love with their beautifully baked provencal potatoes. The spring chicken taste really good, but I’m not too fond of it.
Lamb Cutlets (RM82)
Served chargrilled and accompanied with lovely cous cous salad and smoked eggplant puree. Although it doesn’t have any unique taste, it’s nice to have good lamb cutlets once in a while, especially during sudden cravings ! 😀
