To be very honest, I hate being at launches. It’s like a place where you can’t act natural, can’t be at your best, can’t have proper conversations and the list goes on.. There were so many paparazzi too! The song by Lady Gaga just went on in my head when I see them ordering the chefs and telling them how to pose. Anyway, they had a group of portugeese performers to sing and dance for us. Really lively people. After speeches and all that, we left our tables to get our food! Before I get on with the food, I want to show you a few pictures of my friends. Teehee.
Cindy bought a new pretty pencil box.
Did I mention I had tons of her photos in my comp? Well, I just did. I think my comp has more photos of her than photos of me. Really!!! Anyway, I like this picture a lot.
James and Cindy
James, your hair don’t look weird..

Champagne Brunch Buffet @ Vincenzo, One Bangsar
Sep 27th
On Sunday, me and my mum went to Vincenzo in One Bangsar (tel: 2287 1686) for a champagne brunch. It was incredible.. (: Just the selective type of buffet my mum and I like. The champagne was quite alright too.
It was a small buffet brunch so we finished eating quite fast. But the small selection of food was more satisfying than some bigger buffet spreads. Although there are a few items that contain ingredients I dislike, I like them cause they taste good.
The buffet price is RM98++ per person with 2 glasses of champagne, free flow of sparkling brut (like champagne), wine, mocktails and RM68++ per person (no alcohol) with free flow of mocktails. Parking is easy too, free next to the restaurant. Every Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Children between 3-10 years old pay only RM10 for a children’s menu with nuggets, french fries, mini burgers, mini sausages, pizza and mocktail or cordial drink.

Fruit Punch
Mocktail made of pineapple, orange and grenadine syrup
I can’t even taste the pineapple, yet it taste great! (I dislike pineapples)

Sparkling Brut, White Wine, Fruit Punch and a selection of appetizers.
The sparkling bruit is definitely my preference than the gossett.

Prawn cocktail

Smoked salmon with lemon
This is so nice! This is so nice! (I’m a huge fan of smoked salmon with lemon) Except.. I never tried eating this in cube form.. *Raising eyebrow

Aubergine (brinjal) salsa
This is suprisingly nice. I am not a fan of brinjals yet this taste great. Maybe it’s the salsa sauce..

Turkey ham roll with celery
I dislike celery. But this goes very well with the celery.

Beef carparcio with baby tomatoes
I like this. It sort of makes you want to go get some more.

Sausages with capsicum for children

Penne (pasta) salad with pepperoni sausage and olives and rocket leaves

Soup with croutons and chopped spring onions
Nice hot soup on a rainy Sunday afternoon? Just perfect.

From left to right: mushroom, pepperoni and hawaiian

Mini hamburgers for young brunch-ers

Roast leg of lamb with thyme jus
Oh my. Oh my, oh my. This is faboulous. I regret not having some more..

Seafood thermidor with seabass, squid, prawns and mussels

Amarula creme pudding and lychee mousse
The both dessert has a little alcohol in them. (Tip: Dessert cups with handles contain alcohol)

Strawberry pudding and passionfruit jelly
The Passionfruit jelly is nice.

Buka Puasa @ Maya Brasserie
Aug 24th

Lovely.. Ain’t it?
Victor came over today. We watched 2 movies in a row. One was practically a comedy while the other is.. Freaky. Eck. The both movies are actually great..

In the evening, me and mum went to Maya Hotel for the buffet. Yeah.. Buka Puasa again.
This buffet was pretty great.
Have fun scrolling through the pictures. I know you’ll drool.

So far, the best apam balik.

This was great. Its some kind of dish with potatoes and bacons on top. Yumm.

Desserts stall was all alone at one corner..

Psstt. Got gold!
