Celebrating Mother’s Day @ Federal Hotel
May 9th
Hello people. Currently listening to Disgusting – Ke$ha. The song is actually quite nice.
‘It’s disgusting, how I love you.
God I hate me. I could kill you’
‘It’s disgusting, how you changed me.
From a bandit to a baby.’
How inspirational. Kesha is just so cute. Love her. Her song ‘Your Love is My Drug’ is finally on radio. Remember my 3 chapter story? Took her song name as the title of my story.
It’s been a while since I updated anyway. Last night was at Federal Hotel with mum and her friend. Watched a Cantonese opera show. Not the best, they told me. Oh kay. I don’t know much about Cantonese Opera but I’m damn sure English don’t go with it. They gave us segments from different stories. First one was Dei Lui Fa. About this couple who committed suicide on their wedding night. Anyway, they sang it in English. Eck. It was okay after that, they sang in Cantonese after that. Anyway, the food was okay. Not great, but okay. We didn’t join the press table cause it was in a private room with no access to the opera stage. So we sat outside. Just the 3 of us.
I’ve been cutting down my meal sizes too. But tough to do so because of the yummy food around me all the time. Darn. Gotta try harder.
My mid-term exams are coming real soon. I realized how much we depend on tips. Without them, we don’t seem to study harder. O_o Might be wrong for some cases of course.
I’ve got a question.
I love photography and blogging. I’m 17 and already sold many pictures to the press (Mum’s a journalist, she uses my photographs). I write occasionally for Niexter and got pretty good experiences. I gained some moolah through Nuffnang as well. Teehee. Should I continue doing this and study some kind of course that can improve myself at this 2 aspects and make a career out of this? What course am I suppose pursue then? But I don’t wanna waste my efforts studying science stream for nothing.. But, come to think of it, if I do something I dislike, then.. I’d eventually waste more time and all that. Or maybe this is like an alternative career like my friend’s. OMG. This is so frustrating. I’m getting really frustrated. Care to help me?

Come Celebrate Yan Yat @ Federal Hotel
Feb 21st
Come Celebrate Yan Yat with Chan Ai-Jia and Han-Jie @ Federal Hotel. I went there with my mum last night. It was a normal dinner with the yee sang, shark’s fin with crabmeat, prosperous chicken, steamed red snapper with supreme soy sauce, braised mushroom, sea cucumber with broccoli, glutinous rice in lotus leaf, sweetened sea coconut with ginseng and deep-fried mini lotus paste bun. Yum. The show was really good cause the dance crew had the most spectacular costumes.. Chan Ai-Jia was fabulous too! Her singing was really good! Han-Jie was great too! His voice was quite deep, Chan Ai-Jia’s voice was much much much higher.. Lovely. (:
I tried on a new mascara today, the Lancome Oscillating Mascara. First 2 attempts failed, don’t know why.. But this time it worked! Look how pretty the upper lashes look?
I borrowed my mum’s Indian necklace too!
It’s so pretty..
Malaysia…….. BOLEH…

Don’t you think her cheong sam is too short? ):
OMG, this was the best costumes they had!
Even the guys’ costumes looked hot!
Han-Jie keeps changing his jackets. LOL!
She look so adorable.

X’Mas Eve Gala Dinner & Dance with Elvis Presley @ Federal Hotel
Dec 26th
MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS! Am blogging about the X’mas eve Gala dinner and dance with Elvis Presley on Christmas Eve. Roger was working there, what a coincidence! Anyway before I proceed, I wanna tell you about this awesome thing my mum brought home for me.. I don’t know what it is but it is AWESOME.
It’s a Japanese thing , at least that’s what my mum said. Japanese rice with cheese, unagi and lots of crunchy stuff. It looked like a pizza and would taste like one. But its rice. So this is something different!
At first, the whole room was very awkward.. Nobody knew each other.. All had no guts to play, dance etc. Some time later, after MC T warmed up the room, everyone got comfy.
Cold Asparagus and Butterfly Prawns
Sizzled with brown butter and topped with almond flakes
The butter is lovely, the almonds taste good, the prawns are fresh and lovely with a bit of lemon.
Warm Tomato Essence with Prawn Dumplings
What an odd soup.. Its like some kind of Chinese fusion soup.
After the soup, we had a lime sherbet with darjeeling mint tea. It’s similar to lemon tea.
Braised Boneless Leg of Chicken in Pommery Glace
Served with Spring Vegetables and Golden Croquette
The chicken and the gravy is fantastic, as for the croquette, its very bland.. Even with the gravy, its not really interesting anymore.
Golden Croquette
Boneless Leg of Chicken
Moist Christmas Fruit Cake with Sauce Anglaise
I am not a fan of fruit cakes, of course, I don’t find this yummy.
Throughout the dinner, we had lots of music, live music, games and lucky draws.
This is one of the singers, she looks a little bit like Siti Nurhaliza, don’t you think?
She and her partner sang English songs, Mandrin, Hokkien and Cantonese songs, Malay songs.. Really cool people.
These are the carol singers, they all looked like they came from the Shrek’s singers. The one with cute voices? Those puppet singers? Yes, those.
Meet Alex Wong, the Elvis Presley impersonator.
He is good. Really good, except when he suddenly speak the normal way, its so different already.
