Dreamworks Experience, Macau #Day 1 (Part 1)

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Photography, Travel

Our flight was at 6.30am, so mum and I woke up about 3 something and left for the airport at 4am. It was a very early flight indeed and an unfortunate event happened on the aircraft. Thankfully it wasn’t us!

I was sleeping soundly next to my mum when someone shouted out: ‘拿钱出来!!’ (Take out the money!) Everyone woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep after that. I mean, hearing that phrase, I thought there was a terrorist or big time robber on board. Genius, couldn’t he say something like, ‘THIEF! GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!’ Bloody hell, gave me an unnecessary fright! From then onward, everyone was wide awake and started to chatter among themselves.

This thief was a mainland Chinese, scrawny and scared-looking man. The men he stole from were double his size. He stole about RM500 from them when they were sleeping and one of their friends, a lady saw the incident. This sneaky thief gave her RM200 quickly, not knowing that she was one of their friends. Of course the lady quickly told her friends to catch this thief. Everyone witnessed the thief had 5 RM100 notes with him so he said, ‘Okay, I’ll give it back to you!’ But the men didn’t want to let him go so easily. They didn’t want to take the money just yet, and want to hand him over to the police when we touch down (Which was 2 hours from then). Mr. Thief constantly changed seats for no reason and were being watched by two big men. When we touched down, we were held up for a good half an hour. What an exciting way to start my Macau trip. Police came in and took photographs, asked questions.. They couldn’t find the 5 RM100 notes, so they turned the place upside down. But after a while, they let the rest go off.. Sadly, I don’t know what happened to the stupid thief after that. Not that I cared much. Sheraton Macau > Stupid thief

Couldn’t sleep after the loud noises, so I ate .. Super salty. Ugh.

Mum didn’t bother much, she was pretty upset though.. She was just about to fall asleep.

Using my S4 camera only! Look so gorgeous, eh?? 😀

They look like they came out from a TVB show. 😛 If you know what I mean.. Hee, I secretly took the photograph with my S4.

Main entrance of Sheraton Hotel, Macau

Looks like you’re booking for tickets to a movie eh?

For VIPs, media and members.

Pretty nice to have a lil’ lounge at SPG side.

My media passes! (Yes, that’s a media pass to watch the movie Turbo too)

I dislike waiting at the lift.. It’s extremely cold. But thankfully the lifts are super efficient

Our room!

Don’t you think the white outlines of the drawers form a camera shape ?

Our view from the room……… Not exactly very good lookin’.

Okay, we get a glimpse of the pool. Not that bad.

It’s so amazing, isn’t it? I love how they have odd shaped ‘holes’ with stoned edges instead of the regular rectangular.

Koi Kei bakeries everywhereeeeeeee.

Last Friday I was at Urban, Istana Hotel for dinner menu review(during lunch! how odd? oh well, mum didn’t want to sit through the traffic at night) . It was such a rainy day ! I kept having this thinking that the heaven wants to remind us about the tsunami that happened .. Everything will be okay, Japan.

1 good reason to go to Urban for dinner : Everything’s nett priced so you can skip the rough calculations before ordering. 😀

Walnut bread on the left, Puri on the right and chicken pate in the middle.
The puri was so so good, especially when hot. Yummehhh.

Seoul Good Promotion, One World Hotel

Posted on 6 CommentsPosted in Food, Photography

HELLO! It’s a fly day and I didn’t go to school. (youdidn’tneedtoknowthat, butohwell.) Anyway, I had dinner at Cinnamon, One World Hotel today, with my lovely mum. They’re having a Seoul Good Promotion aka KOREAN FOOD, BABEH! It’s part of a buffet, so everyone could have what they feel like having. Especially with big families.. You know, the grandparents want authentic traditional food, parents want classy food, kids want junkie food.. Etc. And, you get to taste the Korean food! This is a short and simple post, but hope its worth it. 😀

I saw it before I went into Cinnamon, and ate dinner.. And I saw it again after dinner. I’d like to think it’s been there for the whole night. 😀 It seems more magical. Haha.

They played the drums and all. It was loud, but it was good. 😀 Full of energy.

Sage Restaurant & Wine Bar @ The Gardens 2

I had a beautiful dinner tonight at Sage Restaurant. Fine dining Japanese-Western Fusion Cuisine. If you think Japanese would not go with Western, think again! To be honest, it was the most satisfying dinner I had since the last time I went to Sage. All you need to make it absolutely perfect is good company and you’re set to go! Trust me, you’ll enjoy it too.

Presenting Chef Daniel who was cooking for us!

Complimentary Bread. Yum.

Sparkling Mojito (Non Alcoholic)
Sour like ice lemon tea, but it’s sparkling, with a tingling sensation!

Tranché of Buri Fish with Akame and Avruga (RM60nett)
I think this dish was made in heaven and served to us. It was so lovely! Every inch of this dish was pure quality. Smell that gorgeous truffle oil. The raw Buri fish was just right, Akame herbs was fragrant, the salt was crystallized and crunchy. The Avruga Caviar was heavenly. And a pinch of wasabi just makes the fish fly. Buri, buri!

Capellini Pasta with Shellfish, Tongarashi Spice (RM60nett)
This dish must be created for Malaysians/Asians. It’s slightly spicy and the Capellini Pasta’s texture is a little like mee suah – very smooth. Very Malaysian-inspired, I suppose. The shellfish – prawns and fish – was the best part. Fresh and juicy. YUM!

Halfway through, we ordered garlic bread just for the heck of it. 😀

Lime and Lemon Granité
Don’t be fooled by its appearance! It’s not just shaved ice! It’s exquisite, expensive spoonfuls of shaved ice! However, this is the perfect snow white, shaved ice with a citrusy tang,  I like!

It was an open kitchen, and we sat exactly where we sat the first time we came – In front of the open kitchen, where we could eye the chefs. Hehe!

Pan-fried Hirame with Sea Scallop and Crustacean Oil (RM95nett)
My mum ordered this for the main course and I had a bite of the fish and a scallop. The fish was not bad, but I really prefer a cod fish. The scallop was nice. (:

Hirame Fish. Yummy spinach leaves.

Almond Crusted Lamb Rack with White Miso and Nasu (RM95nett)
Maybe the chef’s recommendation was better… I had it medium-rare.. He recommended medium-well done. It was too tough for me. ): But the sauteed shitake and himeji mushrooms were gorgeous! Oh, by the way, Nasu is an eggplant. It’s hiding in this picture.. It can be seen underneath the lamb rack in the picture below.

Crépe Suzette with Grand Marnier and Orange Zest (RM30nett)
The Crépe was unexplainable. You would just keep nibbling on it and when it finally finishes, you would long for more. This is a bittersweet Crépe with a dash of Grand Marnier and I kept wanting more! After finishing the crépe, I ‘cleanse’ the rich flavour with the ice cream topped with the orange zest and it made me go ‘Mmmmm…’

After dessert, coffee or tea makes the meal complete.

I tried capture the lovely crested moon. Sadly, it didn’t look so good in the picture.. /:
