Dinner @ Hot Chocolat, Section 13
Nov 30th
Last night I went to have dinner with Uncle Jim and mum. Uncle Jim always calls me his little princess. He’s one of my mum’s old friend. He opens Hot Chocolat in Damansara Heights and Section 13. His food is incredible. It’s made with love and passion. He’s always around in the restaurant, makes his customers happy. He’s just so nice and generous. Full of energy.
A variety of his pastries in a basket.
Watermelon Smoothie and Banana Smoothie (RM9.90 each)
The watermelon smoothie taste weird. But compared to a banana smoothie, I’d rather take the watermelon one. It’s an experience you see, a banana smoothie is so common. Banana smoothie ha the rich flavour where as a watermelon smoothie has the flavour of the vanilla and chocolate ice cream but with a refreshing watermelon taste.
Orange Freeze with 3 scoops of chocolate ice cream! Oh my! This is so good. It’s not in the menu though but this is so beautiful. Weird, but delicious.
Osso Buco Manzo (Off Menu)
Pasta with beef, carrots, potatoes, peppers, olives and black pepper sauce.
The beef pieces are so delicious!
Grilled Eggplant, carrots, peppers and tomatoes (RM18)
Also with onions, herbs, spices, salt and pepper. That’s all and it taste so fabulous. A vegetarian’s choice!
Pesce Milanese (RM24)
Pan fried crumbed Dorry fish fillet, topped with pineapple, tomato, spring onion with pasta and some salad.
The pasta is wonderful, the fish fillet is gorgeous and fresh and the salad makes you feel healthier.
Really good pasta.
Big piece of fish fillet
Spicy Abbaccio Ala Romana (RM24)
Lamb pieces, herbs, chilli, olio style
Very good dish.
Tenderloin Beef (Rm28)
He changed it to chicken, so I couldn’t get the real taste. But this is really good. Just made perfect for Malaysian tastebuds
Chicken Chop with Salsa Sauce (RM22)
Deep fried chicken chop with salsa sauce, spaghetti olio spinach
Salsa sauce! Better than the ordinary black pepper, I can assure you!
Tiramisu (RM15.90)
Are tiramisus dry? I don’t know, I tasted ones that feel like dry sponge with cream in between.. This one, the bottom layer is so well soaked, I could really had a good taste of the flavour! I could do without the ice cream..
Royale Chocolate Cake (RM11.90)
Can you see the water droplets on the cake? Well, it kinda means this is cold. It is! And it goes very well indeed with the vanilla ice cream.
Just look at that..
Apple Pie (RM11.90)
Very sour! But quite yummy, especially when its hot.
This is how the restaurant looks like from the outside
This is the interior.

Feel The warmth, the photography, @ The Frames, TTDI Plaza
Oct 17th
So long since I had a proper food post.
Mum and I went to Frames at TTDI Plaza for dinner. TTDI Plaza! It’s my first time there. (Really..) I’d bring friends here when possible. I promise! Its value for money! No kidding! Guess what? Frames has one of the biggest, largest, hugest (if there’s such word) burger in Malaysia. Almost as tall as your Nike bottle, as wide as a CD. No joke. It’s called a goliath.
Try it. It’s RM39.90 but if you can finish it in 30 minutes, you get it free!

Interesting huh? There are so many photos.. Landscapes, macro shots, animals, nature..

Peach and Orange Shake (RM9.90)
Taste like milkshake with a hint of fruits!

Signature G- Frost (RM9.90)
Sounds like G Force the movie.. Haha. This is a wake up drink. Really.. I took a sip and I was like, WOW! I’m so awake right now!

Bruchetta (RM15.90)
Tomatoes, Prawns and Mediterranean Mushrooms

Tomatoes Bruchetta
I’d appreciate it if it’s smaller in size.. So I can just pop them into my mouth. The taste is lovely. Not too sour.. Just nice. The bread isn’t that bad. Like garlic bread without the garlic.

Prawns Bruchetta
Seafood isn’t my thing. But this isn’t that bad. Quite good actually. Goes well with the bruchetta.

Mediterranean Mushrooms Bruchetta
I’m so in love with mushrooms! This one is lovely! Mushrooms with green, red and yellow capsiscums, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

Balsamic Salad (Personal: RM10.90, Regular: RM19.90)
With balsamic chicken and wild mushrooms
I ate mostly from the top. Today’s sauce is a little sweet but it’s really nice.

Carbonara (RM20.90)
Prawns and squid rings
Very creamy pasta. Cream sauce lovers would enjoy this pasta. (:

Pan Grilled Salmon (RM29.90)
Salmon steak topped with creamy basil sauce
i like the salmon with the cream sauce.. If only the salmon weren’t so cooked. (I have this thing about cooked salmons.. I prefer them raw rather than cooked, don’t mind me..)

Rack of Lamb (RM39.90)
With creamy mint and rosemary sauce
I’d still prefer my lovely beef steak. But, mmhmm.. I could smell the strong scent of mint and rosemary a table away when I was taking photos of the salmon.

I believe this is the club sandwich?
I didn’t eat it.. I was just too full.. But the curly fries were nice!

Beautiful isn’t it?

Tastes so so good too.. (:
Champagne Brunch Buffet @ Vincenzo, One Bangsar
Sep 27th
On Sunday, me and my mum went to Vincenzo in One Bangsar (tel: 2287 1686) for a champagne brunch. It was incredible.. (: Just the selective type of buffet my mum and I like. The champagne was quite alright too.
It was a small buffet brunch so we finished eating quite fast. But the small selection of food was more satisfying than some bigger buffet spreads. Although there are a few items that contain ingredients I dislike, I like them cause they taste good.
The buffet price is RM98++ per person with 2 glasses of champagne, free flow of sparkling brut (like champagne), wine, mocktails and RM68++ per person (no alcohol) with free flow of mocktails. Parking is easy too, free next to the restaurant. Every Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Children between 3-10 years old pay only RM10 for a children’s menu with nuggets, french fries, mini burgers, mini sausages, pizza and mocktail or cordial drink.

Fruit Punch
Mocktail made of pineapple, orange and grenadine syrup
I can’t even taste the pineapple, yet it taste great! (I dislike pineapples)

Sparkling Brut, White Wine, Fruit Punch and a selection of appetizers.
The sparkling bruit is definitely my preference than the gossett.

Prawn cocktail

Smoked salmon with lemon
This is so nice! This is so nice! (I’m a huge fan of smoked salmon with lemon) Except.. I never tried eating this in cube form.. *Raising eyebrow

Aubergine (brinjal) salsa
This is suprisingly nice. I am not a fan of brinjals yet this taste great. Maybe it’s the salsa sauce..

Turkey ham roll with celery
I dislike celery. But this goes very well with the celery.

Beef carparcio with baby tomatoes
I like this. It sort of makes you want to go get some more.

Sausages with capsicum for children

Penne (pasta) salad with pepperoni sausage and olives and rocket leaves

Soup with croutons and chopped spring onions
Nice hot soup on a rainy Sunday afternoon? Just perfect.

From left to right: mushroom, pepperoni and hawaiian

Mini hamburgers for young brunch-ers

Roast leg of lamb with thyme jus
Oh my. Oh my, oh my. This is faboulous. I regret not having some more..

Seafood thermidor with seabass, squid, prawns and mussels

Amarula creme pudding and lychee mousse
The both dessert has a little alcohol in them. (Tip: Dessert cups with handles contain alcohol)

Strawberry pudding and passionfruit jelly
The Passionfruit jelly is nice.
