@Penang Village, Great Eastern Mall
Apr 17th
When we walked in, I didn’t believe it was Penang Village. White and black interior decor. Including chairs and tables and their plates! Urban atmosphere while having great Penang food. Overall, I really like the food there. It’s Penang food for KL people. (:
No time for extra explanation though, tomorrow I have a 10 hour BM seminar! Rawr.
I like their floor. SO CUTE.
So neat, don’t you think? (:
Private room.
The restaurant is really really huge! You can fit about 200 pax!
Lots of malay like it here too, expecially the dim sum. It’s halal! (:
They gave us flower tea. Have you guys tried it? (: The flowers really look pretty! I had a sip of the rose buds flower tea. Gorgeous!

Chinese New Year 2010, Part 1
Feb 16th
Hey guys, I’ve been neglecting my blog due to Chinese New Year. I didn’t wanna blog uncomfortably so I waited till I got back from Penang. (: How are you guys? I hope you guys still read my blog!
Wednesday
We left the house at about 3pm and reached at 7-8pm-ish. After packing and smelling Penang’s hot air for a couple of minutes, we left house to shop at Gurney Plaza and have supper. I had my worst kuay tiao soup. Ever. It tasted like the instant noodles. OMG. What a bad way to start my CNY holiday. Even my brother had a bad char hor fun.
On the bridge to Penang Island.
Protecting it’s siblings from humans. So sweet. ![]()
Thursday
HAHA. I am not in school! Waahahhahahaha. I woke up at 9am and you guys had to wake up at 6! Muahahaha. We went to Air Itam to have our breakfast and walk around. We had our favouriteduck kuay chap. Yum.
After breakfast we walked down the road while looking at the pretty things people were selling. Oh my, I love the preparations of Chinese New Year! But I hate the weather there. ):
Duck Kuay Chap
For lunch, we had indian food at Passions of Kerala. It’s not normal to eat indian food in Penang for me.. Seriously.
Vegetarian Set on Banana Leaf (RM5.50)
2 choices of rice, tomato rice/white rice. Vegetable dishes change daily. It’s like eating rice with only vegetables. I could live with this as it is actually quite yummy.
Deep Fried Ladyfingers (Small: RM3.50, Medium: RM6, Large: RM9)
Yummy tidbits.
Deep Fried Bitter Gourd (Small: RM3.50, Medium: RM6, Large: RM9)
Best of the deep fried tidbits.
Fried Sotong (Small: RM6, Medium: RM12, Large: RM18)
Not as great as the bitter gourd
Fried Fish (Bawal/Kembung/Pari) (RM4 a piece)
Quite ordinary to me, except that they give you a lime to squeeze on it first. ( I think it’s just me.)
Chicken Masala (Small: RM5, Medium: RM10, Large: RM15)
Crab Rasan (Medium: RM22)
The Restaurant Manager. Like model, right?
Outside Passions of Kerala had a few interesting wood carvings. I really really wonder how they could carve them.
