Richard’s Birthday
Dec 29th
On Saturday night, mum and I celebrated Richard’s birthday with his family and friends. We had dinner at My Thai, Starhill. The food was brilliant. I don’t know about real Thai food or not, but I loved it. It was leisure for me, I forgot to write down the prices of the food. I don’t even know some of their names because my mum sat quite far away from me, I couldn’t hear what they ordered.
Amanda, mum, Richard, Aunt Ginny, Aaron and me.
With Uncle George in the picture.
Meang Kam
My absolute favourite. Its a very nutty taste which is something I really like.
Apparently the green spring roll like appetizer is extremely spicy..
This grilled chicken is awesome. Juicy meat with the right amount of spices/herbs etc.
A crabby dish. I’m glad I didn’t take it.. In case my body gets some weird reaction again.
Mild green curry. YUM!
Thailand version of char kuey tiao. . Suprisingly nicer than char kuey tiao.. The noodle is sponge-i-er and tastier.
Richard’s mini birthday cake(s).
We weren’t shy to use the plates for personal usage. Haha.
Happy Birthday!
The Chan Family.
Adding Aunty Siew Fong, Sze Ping and her boyfriend
And lastly, me and mum.
The lighting was terrible okay! No blaming me.. It was the lights!
I had a real good time with you guys. Thanks so much for dinner and happy 21st birthday Richard! Enjoy your Vietnam and Cameron Highland trip!
Thai lunch @ E San, Ara Damansara
Sep 19th
I went to E San with my mum and brother. E San is at Jalan PJU 1A/3, TAIPAN 2, Ara Damansara. The food is actually quite good.
The miang kam also quite nice..

Miang Kam

Thai Laksa
This spicy laksa suits those who can’t really take spicy-ness.

E San Crispy Rice
So crispy!! You should try this signature dish. It made me feel healthier. Haha.

Fried Egg Salad
I like this dish cause of the simplicity. The sauce is a little sour as well. Suits my taste.

Otak-Otak in Fresh Coconut
I don’t like otak-otak.. /: My brother and mum liked it though.

Isn’t this pretty? It’s made out of a tomato.

Tom Yam soup.
Looks so mild, yet so sour it made me cringe my nose

Salted grilled Haruan (Fish)
OMG. Simply heaven. Sweet meat that is just as good on its own and with one of the 3 sauces given.

RAWR!!

Was being random.. But it’s pretty.. No?

Fried kang kung
Nice.. Although it has a plain taste.

Larb Khai (Minced chicken salad)
THIS IS SO GOOD. You must go try! Must! Seriously! OMG OMG. This is fantastic. Not for people who dislike sour stuff though..

Khanom Bua Lawy
Taste like those ‘tang yuan’. But this isn’t flour, it’s pumpkin! And for a person like me wo hates pumpkin, actually like this dessert.

Huge fake flower in my house. LOL

This bunch of flowers are like.. one year old already.. It was from 2 mini bouquets of roses. (:

Erawan @ PJU 5
Jul 11th
I went to Erawan @ PJU 5 for a late lunch today with mum and god-mum. ![]()
Erawan has a beautiful ambiance and wonderful decorations and furniture.

The outside

God-mum bought 2 of these. One with cow deco and another with dogs. The look so so cute!

The place in this photo looks pretty messy..

The lamps made the tree look enlighted. Haha

Strawberry Fizzy

Erawan’s mango salad
Young mango salad with assorted dressings.
Heaven in a restaurant. I love this salad. *drools
Although this is kind of spicy, it tastes great! Like I said, heaven in a restaurant.

Erawan’s refreshing pomelo salad
Served with varieties of assorted dressings and special sauce.
This is awesome. Very nutty and crunchy. The pomelo’s specially from Thailand, not Ipoh. It isn’t the sweet one. This pomelo is slightly sour.

Betel-leaf snacks ( Miang Kham)
Betel-leaf served with nuts, coconut, chilli, lime, dried shrimps, ginger, nuts and onions and Erawan’s special sauce.
THIS IS FABULOUS! Go for it. Highly, highly, supremely recommended.

This is how they serve the rice. Cool eh?

Curry fish cake
Deep-fried spinach mackerel fish mixed with a special curry paste.
Wonder if it can bounce. It is so wonderful. You know how fish cakes taste like right? Multiply that by 20. This is what you get. x__x

Erawan’s Green curry with salted egg
Green curry with fish paste stuffed with salted egg yolk
How can I describe this.. Umm. How about.. DELICIOUS?

Their presentation so pretty right?

Deep-fried Seabass with spicy sauce
Sweet and sourseabass.
Tastes great. But I was pretty full when this dish arrived..

Erawan’s Omelette
With crab meat inside
My god mum lovessss this! So do I! It’s fluffy and the chilli sauce goes well with it

Glutinous rice with Durian
I like the glutinous rice. I didn’t eat the durian. Full . Full

Erawan’s banana friters
I did not get to eat one friter! ): Only the ice cream. No fair. They all ate and left none for me. D:

Okay.. I know, you must be thinking.. Weirdo.. Rest room sign also go take..
You should see their bathroom! SO PRETTY..

Kiddies get to draw with crayons while waiting for food..

They also sell jeweleries, pottery, etc.
