Samira, Sentul Park
1Ideal place to have dinner before heading over to KL PAC for a show .. A restaurant by a lake .. There’s so much greenery here , I don’t know where to begin ! But do be ready for some mosquito bites . Unavoidable , but at least , I warned . I regret wearing a short dress . :
Shirley Temple (RM15)
My favourite of all times .
Vegetarian Crystal Rolls (RM11)
I always loved the Vietnamese rolls. The skin is chewy, the filling for this particular one is just beyond refreshing . Definitely a must have for an appetizer. It goes superb with the sweet and sour Thai chili sauce . Without it, it would be a little bit dry for my liking .
Steamed Mussels in Lemongrass Sauce (RM25)
Yummy fresh mussels , nuff said .
Samira’s Traditional Banana Flower Salad (RM22)
At first, I was a little bit skeptical because I don’t see anything familiar that seems edible . Well, they look like the ingredients you ignore in the assam laksa. So .. I took my first bite . *crunch* It’s.. Gorgeous . Simply crunchy, refreshing . Mix of chopped up banana flower, shrimp and squid (And I think sliced chicken?) , this is a divine salad.
Thai Tom Sum with Fish Fillets (RM21)
Sour and delicious :3
Traditional Steamed Squid in Lime and Chili (RM28)
It’s bitter sour . It’s not that great .. But it’s addictive .
Pan fried Banana with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM12)
Hot banana covered in honey with a scoop on vanilla ice cream on top . What else can one ask for?
Thai Mango with Sticky Rice (Seasonal) (RM16)
The mango is really sweet. But I really dislike how it’s cut .. Too confusing to bother about when the whole dessert taste so good .
Richard’s Birthday
0On Saturday night, mum and I celebrated Richard‘s birthday with his family and friends. We had dinner at My Thai, Starhill. The food was brilliant. I don’t know about real Thai food or not, but I loved it. It was leisure for me, I forgot to write down the prices of the food. I don’t even know some of their names because my mum sat quite far away from me, I couldn’t hear what they ordered.
Amanda, mum, Richard, Aunt Ginny, Aaron and me.
With Uncle George in the picture.
Meang Kam
My absolute favourite. Its a very nutty taste which is something I really like.
Apparently the green spring roll like appetizer is extremely spicy..
This grilled chicken is awesome. Juicy meat with the right amount of spices/herbs etc.
A crabby dish. I’m glad I didn’t take it.. In case my body gets some weird reaction again.
Mild green curry. YUM!
Thailand version of char kuey tiao. . Suprisingly nicer than char kuey tiao.. The noodle is sponge-i-er and tastier.
Richard‘s mini birthday cake(s).
We weren’t shy to use the plates for personal usage. Haha.
Happy Birthday!
The Chan Family.
Adding Aunty Siew Fong, Sze Ping and her boyfriend
And lastly, me and mum.
The lighting was terrible okay! No blaming me.. It was the lights!
I had a real good time with you guys. Thanks so much for dinner and happy 21st birthday Richard! Enjoy your Vietnam and Cameron Highland trip!

Thai lunch @ E San, Ara Damansara
1I went to E San with my mum and brother. E San is at Jalan PJU 1A/3, TAIPAN 2, Ara Damansara. The food is actually quite good.
The miang kam also quite nice..

Miang Kam

Thai Laksa
This spicy laksa suits those who can’t really take spicy-ness.

E San Crispy Rice
So crispy!! You should try this signature dish. It made me feel healthier. Haha.

Fried Egg Salad
I like this dish cause of the simplicity. The sauce is a little sour as well. Suits my taste.

Otak-Otak in Fresh Coconut
I don’t like otak-otak.. /: My brother and mum liked it though.

Isn’t this pretty? It’s made out of a tomato.

Tom Yam soup.
Looks so mild, yet so sour it made me cringe my nose

Salted grilled Haruan (Fish)
OMG. Simply heaven. Sweet meat that is just as good on its own and with one of the 3 sauces given.

RAWR!!

Was being random.. But it’s pretty.. No?

Fried kang kung
Nice.. Although it has a plain taste.

Larb Khai (Minced chicken salad)
THIS IS SO GOOD. You must go try! Must! Seriously! OMG OMG. This is fantastic. Not for people who dislike sour stuff though..

Khanom Bua Lawy
Taste like those ‘tang yuan’. But this isn’t flour, it’s pumpkin! And for a person like me wo hates pumpkin, actually like this dessert.

Huge fake flower in my house. LOL

This bunch of flowers are like.. one year old already.. It was from 2 mini bouquets of roses. (:
